Dr. Pepper Interviews (1982)
How about a vintage Don Henley interview? This is
from November of 1982 and is part of the Lew Irvin
Report series that was sponsered by Dr. Pepper. In
it, Don talks about the end of the Eagles and his
new solo career. It's an interesting listen
especially when compared to more recent interviews.
The titles are from the show's call sheet.
Intro
Part 1 -- Beginning a
six-part interview with Don Henley, who describes
the break-up of the Eagles.
Part 2 -- Don Henley
says the Eagles broke up at a concert in July of
1980--and the break-up was actually recorded.
Part 3 -- Don Henley
indicates tha after the breakup of the Eagles, he
felt as if his wings had been clipped.
Part 4 -- Former Eagle
Don Helney is writing message music.
Part 5 -- Don Henley's
first single after he left the Eagles "stiffed".
Part 6 -- Don Henley
says that because of threats, he has had to sell his
house and turn down invitations to go on the road.
Rockline (1984)
These clips are right off our
master tape. We don't know why it was recorded like
this, but it's a good interview. Don sure likes
talking to the Texans!

BTPB Interview (1985)
Huge, giant-like thanks go out to Rod F. for sending this
along. It's an interview done with Don to promote Building the
Perfect Beast. It's interesting to compare his attitudes back in
the mid-80s with where he is now. Plus, you get to have the
mental image of Henley on a pair of water skis! It's broken into
16 chunks for your listening pleasure.
Timothy White’s Rock Stars (1989)
an interview with Don Henley and Danny Kortchmar
that aired on Timothy White's Rock Stars radio
program back in 1989. It's the first night of
the End of the Innocence tour, but Don and Danny
talk about a lot of stuff. They also perform 4
songs live in the studio, so that's a rare
treat. Enjoy!

BBC Radio
One Interview (1989)
It's a
great interview with the BBC's Roger Scott done in
August of 1989. In it, Don discusses the songs on
The End of the Innocence, does a line-by-line
interpretation of "If Dirt Were Dollars" and talks
about the costume he envisions himself in while
singing New York Minute (...it includes a hat).
It's in 10 parts.

These
clips are from the Jim Ladd's Living Room Broadcast --an hour of
music and chatting with Don. We're putting these clips up here
for a limited time. The program was broadcast at 1:00a.m and not
many people got a chance to listen to it. So many people have
asked to hear it, we thought we'd stick it up for a while, even
though it is huge. Thanks go to a kind soul who did all the work
on this one. We don't mean to infringe on the rights of Mr.
Henley, Mr. Ladd or anyone else, please just listen to the
broadcast, get really fired up, and then go buy Inside Job!
